So I turned 30 last week and thought it would be some sort of milestone to make me more adult like. I thought if I'm 30 I need to go to grown up bars and act like a grown up because I'm old and more mature....NOT. It just means you still get to have crazy fun and in some sort of way feel like your getting away with something. Last night I went to watch midget wrestling, it was pretty cool. Now I guess some people have some weird fetish with this, but I don't really get it. It was a little disturbing to watch and not really that entertaining, so I would save your money and rent a movie if you want to see something like that. But it is fun to say you have been there done that. It kinda reminding me of playing with my barbie dolls when I was little. Although there was a great annoucer, they did all have great stage names and cute little outfits. A little bit better that real Wrastling I guess. At WWE events they don't have the announcers where you can hear them like on TV. Yeah that is right I have been to a WWE event, but back then it was WWF. I wore my little tight pants and tube top and made a sign for my fav wrasler TEST, my sign read PUT ME TO THE TEST!!! aaaaahhhhh love. Another thing I can say been there done that.
But the point was just because I'm 30 doesn't mean I still can't do silly things and go silly places! That was the best part to do something different and get out there and prove I'm not old and boring.
So get crazy every once in a while people, get out there and do something new! And a juicy steak at Sullivans and 3 knockout martini's are a little helpful too :)
Not blogging about weddings, babies and pets, but about the other things that people enjoy in life!

Farewell to my 20"s
How do I begin to sum up the last 29 years... FUN! Fun is the best way to describe my last 29 years. Tomorrow I'll turn the big 3-0, leave those roaring 20's behind and officially become of age to be a called a COUGAR...haha. I've had some great times over the years with the best friends and family a girl could ask for. I only hope the next 30 years are the best.
My favorite memories as a child were going to the beach with my family. Boy did I love summer time, ocean waves, sand in your crotch and tan lines. I loved going out fishing on my granddad's old blue boat, cruising the sound off Shackelford banks :0)
As I got a little older and moved into middle school, boy did I love sports and boy did I love BOYS!!! I loved softball, loved my team, loved traveling to new places and meeting new people and WINNING!!! I wish I knew my over all softball record?? But we were pretty good.... GO THUNDER!! We had some great times on trips with school, with our travel team and great stories that we will always remember. And let me tell you, you were not a cool boy unless Holden had a crush on you...that is right I crushed on every boy at my school and North Johnson, South Johnston and Clayton. I wrote notes about boys, made up songs, made up nicknames, doodled on my notebook, and surprisingly without actually studying boys, made pretty good grades.
Then high school came a long, met lots of new friends from new schools while still hanging out with old friends and guess what MORE BOYS!!! High school was bittersweet there were a lots of good fun times and loss of good friends as well. The biggest statement from high school is how did I never get arrested?? I was a pretty good kid, but was always in the wrong place and still managed to survive and have a criminal free record.
College...WOW. Some of the greatest times, I moved to my FAV place WILMINGTON....and here continues my love for the beach. I managed to pass most of my classes, take summer school every summer work a full time job and graduate in 4 years. Oh those long days at Vic's popcorn, 2nd greatest college job ever. First greatest JUNGLE RAPIDS...oh yeah the jungle, working at the water park every summer was awesome, you got to tan while working, sometimes sleep, discount on junk food, ride go carts and play video games during your break. The jungle was family, we worked together, went out together and even lived together. Then the cliche of meeting your best friends for the rest of your life happened to me. I joined a sorority and met the greatest girls. And WOW have we shared some times together, JERSEY SHORE got nuttin' on us. We've shared big and small moments, happy and sad times, great and not so great times and I loved every minute of it and will love hanging out with these girls for the rest of my life.
After college, or my 20's. Pretty awesome times I've done some pretty cool things these last couple of years and thanks to FACEBOOK me and all my friends can relive all of those moments. Met some more life long friends, family expanded in several ways now have tons of new cousins, step siblings, aunts, new baby cousins and it just keeps growing and is awesome.
So in the words of Tim McGraw..... here's to my next thirty years!
I think I'll take a moment to celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it's time to focus on where I go from here
Lord have Mercy on my next thirty years
